SAINT-FRANCOIS

At 25 miles from Pointe à Pitre airport, Saint-François, picturesque little fisherman village, has been transformed into a unique tourist destination in Guadeloupe.
Remarkable is its mixture of tradition and modern life.
The typical creole houses and the marketplace combined with all sorts of tourist attractions and amenities make this a privileged place: more than 40 restaurants (Creole, French and international cuisine), the port for yachts and fishermen, pubs, Casino, shops and pretty white sandy beaches.
Numerous land and sea activities are at the visitors’ disposal:
18 hole golf course, tennis, sky-diving, mountain-biking, horseback riding, hiking, Quad, water sports centers on different beaches and in the magnificent “lagoon” offer scuba-diving, snorkeling, windsurf, Kite-surf, water-skiing, water bike etc. Ad to that visits to the near by rum-distillery or archeological museum or a trip to famous “Pointe des Châteaux”, the extreme south coast of the island.
Enjoy day-cruises to Les Petites Terres, Les Saintes or Marie-Galante (depend on season), daily departures to the island of La Désirade.
Saint-François, renowned for its beautiful white sand beaches, constantly caressed by the trade winds, benefits from a hot dry climate, with one of the lowest annual rainfalls of the island. Your invitation to soak up the sun.

SAINTE-ROSE

An agreeable coastal road following bays and beaches brings you to this small fishing village with its lively port.
On the waterfront you will find numerous restaurants serving traditional Creole food and the catch of the day.
Discover from here the small islands, the longest coral reef of the Antilles and the mangrove of the “Men & Biosphere” by name of “Grand Cul de Sac Marin".
Sainte-Rose, community relying on sugar cane and rum is in full expansion and has succeeded in conciliating the traditional with the modern, represented in numerous new structures.
Two rum-destilleries open to visitors produce a whole range of fine rums & punches.
One will find here the evidence of a community in full development; A brand new tourist board, the town square completely overhauled, a new group of ultra-modern office buildings housing banks, pharmacie, post-office, and on the waterfront, freshly installed, a number of red roofed fishermens' cabins.
Sainte-Rose is well placed as a starting point for discovering the Basse-Terre side of the island without being too far from Pointe-à-Pitre or the airport (24 km/15 mls).
Eco-tourism lovers seeking to combine visits to botanical, zoological gardens, plantations, museums of tradition & culture and hiking in the Natural Park (volcano, water-falls) with relaxing on one of our natural sandy beaches of the northern side of Basse-Terre will find their luck here.


LE GOSIER

Guadeloupe is a beach and hiking destination. On top of its tourists beaches and casinos, Grande-Terre offers superb panoramas of broken coastlines. The beach resorts such as Gosier are bordered by restaurants, night clubs and bars along the main street where crowds stroll day and night.
At 7 km from Pointe à Pitre, Gosier is the touristic hub of Guadeloupe and is an extraordinary meeting place for tourists and locals alike. Gosier offers the pleasure of its beach, a convenient departing point for visiting the whole island as well as an established infrastructure for tourists.
The big hotels and a casino are situated on the Pointe de la Verdure, in Bas-du-Fort or around the Marina.
